Since Riot Games revealed it was working on a new League of Legends-based fighting game, fans of both the uber-popular MOBA and the fighting genre have been eagerly waiting for more information about the game.

In February, the game took its first major step into the public eye as its official name was revealed: 2XKO. Before this, the game had been going by the codename Project L since its initial reveal in 2019.

One thing many players have been especially eager to know more about is the playable champions that will make the transition from League of Legends into 2XKO. Since the confirmation of the game’s existence at Riot’s 10th-anniversary event, developers have already revealed plenty of details about the fighter. For example, the game will be free-to-play and will be an assist-based title with two champs per team, according to project lead Tom Cannon.

“Our ultimate goal is to have a diverse and inclusive roster where everyone can find a champion that truly speaks to them,” 2XKO gameplay design lead Shaun Rivera said. “There are a ton of considerations such as, but not limited to, fight fantasy, theme, archetype, team synergy, race and ethnicity, personality, identity, size, etc.”

Riot has also shown a good amount of the game, including gameplay, along with a few of the champions that fans could see as playable characters. The whole cast of playable fighters still isn’t known, but it’s clear anyone from League’s champion roster could join.

Here are all of the champions we know will be playable in 2XKO so far.

All confirmed LoL champions in 2XKO (formerly Project L)

Darius

One of the first champions to be revealed as a playable character in 2XKO, Darius brings his trusty ax to every battle to cut down anyone who stands in his way. From gameplay revealed by Riot, Darius will be bringing plenty of his kit from League into 2XKO, whether he’s pulling in enemies for an easy combo, slicing through them with a quick ax swing, or slamming them into the ground with a Noxian Guillotine.

Ahri

Runeterra’s resident fox lady, Ahri, has made her way from Summoner’s Rift and is ready to jump into the hearts of fighting game enthusiasts around the world. Featured in a few of Riot’s teasers around 2XKO, the quick-footed kitsune uses a combination of kicks, punches, and dashes to directly attack her enemies, while using her Orb of Deception to keep opponents at bay.

Jinx

Jinx has gotten a pretty good amount of attention over the past few years, hasn’t she? The Loose Cannon of Zaun has gone from League to the big screen in Netflix’s hit animated series Arcane to now joining the first foray of characters in 2XKO. In the teasers shown, Jinx uses all of the weapons at her disposal, from her electric Zapper gun, her minigun named Pow-Pow, and her rocket launcher Fishbones. Although she has plenty of range, she also seems to have an extensive melee skill set as she whacks people around.

Katarina

Fast and deadly, Katarina seems to use quick movement abilities to dash around and overwhelm her opponents, while slashing away at their health bar with her twin daggers. In comparison to her League counterpart, however, it looks like she won’t be using Shunpo to teleport to any thrown daggers and will instead remain an agile character who stays in melee form.

Ekko

Ekko has made his way to 2XKO’s roster, boasting his signature gritty style of fighting as seen both on Summoner’s Rift and in Arcane. In the trailers, he uses his baton to zip around and set up devastating combos against his opponents. He also uses his temporal grenade as a projectile that he can whack into his enemies as a unique ranged attack, and can even travel back in time like how his ultimate ability works in League.

Illaoi

Illaoi is also making her way to 2XKO. The Truth Bearer of Nagakabouros falls into the juggernaut class of fighters, according to Riot. The devs wanted to hone in on giving her a “huge hurtbox, massive hits, and slower movement.” Her main source of power will come from her own physical size and strength as she swings her giant golden totem as a melee weapon. Illaoi will, however, still summon tentacles as a secondary weapon to help support her endeavors.

Yasuo

Know that the wind will always be by your side with Yasuo joining 2XKO‘s cast of deadly playable characters. The Unforgiven is a master swordsman who has tools for virtually any type of situation, from nasty aerial combinations and fancy mix-up outplays to powerful normal attacks. He also has his trusty wind wall to block incoming projectile attacks and is a fast-moving choice for those who like to zip in and out of the action.
